Praise for this book

"I encourage anyone who struggles with artistic and creative life, identity, and self acceptance read Maggie Parr's bold and beautiful book THE CREATORS GUIDE TO STOPPING SELF-HARM. I have always admired Maggie's art, the sense of strength and thoughtfulness in her studio, and the feeling of creative peace and determination in her journey through each work. But her book drew me into a creative life that has learnings for many of us who live on the edge of artistic fulfillment and personal struggle. Maggie's insight and honesty and her care for others is felt throughout." --Bob Weis, Former President, Walt Disney Imagineering

"This gem of a book is chock full of exercises and insights for therapists dealing with clients who self-harm. The author cites many revered professionals in the field of psychology, but her own experience delivers the most impactful message that healing is possible and doable-if one does the work. A great book for bibliotherapy, too, especially for those clients who want to go deep." --Joi Andreoli, LMFT, author of "The Recovery Cycle: A Practical Guide to Loving Your Sober Life"
