This book is a synopsis of American civilization which provides certain historical and intellectual materials toward a fuller understanding of American culture in twentieth and even twenty-fist century. By its form and content, it is also intended as a textbook or a reference manual for both high school and undergraduate students and teachers in American history and civilization courses, whereas the general reader may consider it as his/her window to the new world.
