About the Author

Lewis, Shannon D.: -

Born and raised in the Midwest, I became a proud military spouse upon marrying my college sweetheart. That afforded me the opportunity to travel and see many beautiful cities both in the United States as well as overseas. I am grateful that after becoming a mother, many of those travels included our two wonderful children and in that, allowed them to have a broadened view of living, experiencing different cultures and peoples. It definitely encouraged my hobby of photography and I shudder to think how many photos I have stored on various and sundry medias. Writing has been a dream, and now that my husband and I have retired I am thrilled to add that to my list of creative projects. I have always had a love of history and have been and will forever be an avid reader. I try to live by the philosophy of: never stop learning, never stop wondering, and always, always Be Kind.
