Arcane Union

J. D. Fratini

In a universe where magic and technology exist in isolation, a catastrophic collision changes everything. Niaxaria, a war-ravaged realm of fantasy, faces collapse. With gold-vital for channeling Magic Essence-nearly depleted, desperation festers. On the other side of reality, Terra thrives with science, technology, and a wealth of gold-but knows nothing of magic, or the worlds beyond its own.

A radical faction in Niaxaria, led by the elusive Psyoctalith named Ebogen, seeks to upend the ruling council by raiding Terra for its gold. Their plan spirals out of control when a powerful spell merges the two worlds, triggering global destruction and an apocalyptic tsunami that reshapes continents.

Rick Capolavoro, a disillusioned soldier haunted by a past deployment, is thrust into a waking nightmare-one where fantasy becomes real and survival means facing otherworldly threats. Meanwhile, Thia Hieran, the last surviving hero of a once-revered adventuring party, must emerge from self-imposed isolation to stop Niaxaria from tearing itself-and now Terra-apart.

Dragons, magic, and modern warfare clash as two worlds reel from the fallout. While gold-hungry invaders rampage across Terra, space station crews watch helplessly from orbit, and nuclear retaliation looms.

As unlikely alliances form and old wounds resurface, Rick and Thia must rise to meet the crisis-or risk both realms falling to ruin.

About the Author

Fratini, J. D.: - Julian was born, raised, and lives in Adelaide, South Australia. He grew up playing video games from the Sega Mega Drive era, and fondly remembers attending LAN parties with friends during the days when one of the fastest internet connections in Australia was the "glorious" 256K ADSL. His favourite movie series since childhood has always been Alien, but in high school he discovered a love for Japanese anime. This obsession continued into his university years, where he wrote and posted Naruto fanfiction in his spare time. Julian's passion for advanced board games and tabletop RPGs (particularly Dungeons & Dragons) grew as he began his career in IT. This series is his personal love letter to the hobbies that have shaped him, and he hopes to share the same fun and enjoyment with his readers that he found in writing it.
