To 7th grade golem, Emmett, a lot has changed at Collinstein Academy. The school bully, Shane, was expelled after he attacked Emmett, and the Assistant Dean Ms Gement was removed for encouraging the attack. Even though Emmett spent the winter break at school, it feels like a different place as his friends return.

But Emmett can't spend his time focused on what happened before break. He still has school work to do, clubs to attend, and his creator's Bat Mitzvah to look forward to. And with all of that going on, he also knows that Shane's friends are looking for revenge on Emmett and his friends. It's going to be up to Emmett to make sure that his friends all have a safe space at school.
