Evidentiary inference of intent, not the commission of a crime, got Ms. Carol Sing, 36 months in a prison camp and 36 months of supervised release-six, long years without freedom. This harsh sentence pulled the author, now in her eighth decade, without any criminal history, away from her loved ones and a lifetime of valuable environmental work. On August 31, 2019, authorities advised the author that she was dismissed from the case, following an investigation of her civil rights complaint.
