Guardians Of The Zerzura Oasis

Meto Edgar Onwuamaegbu

These are the chronicles of those that came before us. The lives of the twelve Hebrew men that shook off the yoke of Ramses II, the Pharaoh of Egypt and escaped from slavery into the desert. The six daughters of the covenant that they married in Zerzura. The exemplary civilisation they founded in the Savannah.

These are the tales they told to their children and retold to their children's children. The epic journey through the southern desert and the conflicts they prevailed in. Their 734-year trek through the dunes in search of a new home. The cities they build along the way. How they battled their ancestral enemies, the Egyptians, Persians, Assyrians and the other desert tribes that sought to re-enslave them.

The Ben Mossad are sons of the watchmen.

Read about the fall of the Jewish Kingdom of New Canaan and the foibles and hubris of its last ruler. The last stand of General Bibi Ben Naspthali was at the Meadow of Olives in 555 BC. That year, the combined legions of the armies of Egypt, Assyria, Persia and Fulani warriors from the Fouta Djallon finally prevailed over the Kingdom of New Canaan, sowing the seeds of a third exodus. This is the continuing story of the evacuation and those who fled south to Onitsha.
