Dr. Mangalaraja Ramalinga Viswanathan is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, at Universidad Arturo Prat, Iquique, Chile. Previously, he worked as a Full Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Peñalolén, Santiago, Chile. He also worked as the Full Professor and Director of International Relations at the Universidad de Concepción and as the Director for the Department of Materials Engineering at the Universidad de Concepción for six years from 2010 to 2016. Further, he also served as the President of the Chilean Metallurgy and Materials Society (SOCHIMM) for the period from 2015 to 2017.
