Hegelian Perspectives on the Philosophy of Nature and the Environment

Diogo Ferrer

The studies in this book use Hegelian concepts and methodology to address issues such as the definition of nature, the concept of life, the relationship between humans and their natural environment, the principles of environmental ethics, technique, responsibility, human rights, the climate threat, and the challenges of economics facing the requirement of environmental and social sustainability. Written from different perspectives by experts in Hegel's philosophy, the book's chapters demonstrate that Hegelian thought remains fruitful for contemporary discussions on the philosophy of nature, the environment, and sustainability in the era of ecological crisis.
