Due to the urgency of the situation, Serge Monast was forced to write this book in eight weeks, working an average of 14 hours per day, seven days a week, and under conditions of near-total secrecy-worthy of the best espionage novels or films. Why such working conditions in a supposedly democratic country? Precisely because of the various "setups" orchestrated by the federal police and other provincial law enforcement bodies, who, with relentless determination akin to the Soviet KGB, did everything possible to portray Monast as a petty criminal, discredit him, and prevent him from sharing the incriminating information (contained in this book) about the political powers in place. The ultimate aim was to neutralize him. But "neutralized" for whom exactly? To allow fear to take hold and deny all the evidence and facts presented in these pages means, on one hand, condemning this book and its contents to the worst kind of silence and, on the other, as a people, heading straight for assured destruction and eventual disappearance in the medium or long term. History will judge a people who vanish from existence more harshly if their collapse comes from cowardice rather than ignorance. Before long, no local or even international political power will be able to stabilize any situation. No political leader or regime will endure, and humanity will risk descending into its grim destiny: the fulfillment of a "New World Order."
