Yone attempts to produce a child for Mikuzu-sama by pairing Sakura of the Kyoto foxes with Kon, who carries the blood of the Ishimori foxes. But Kaede barges in during the ritual and chaos ensues. Nobimaru, who had been keeping an eye out for his chance to take the yangstone, and Raiden, who was hoping to save Kon, take advantage of the situation to make their moves. Yone is furious that her ritual has been interrupted. With the power acquired by sacrificing the faithful of her village, she is a terror to behold, and directs her wrath at Kabane and Tsubaki.
