In a sleek, modern-day Scotland, decorated war hero Elias Macbeth returns home to his ambitious wife, Vivian. Together, they plot the assassination of King Duncan after a mysterious group known as the SisterNet delivers a chilling prophecy: Macbeth will be king - but danger lies ahead.

As Elias rises to power, the couple spirals deeper into guilt, paranoia, and bloodshed - killing Duncan, then Banquo, then Macduff's entire family. Vivian's grip on reality slips, haunted by what they've done, until she dies by suicide. Elias, unraveling and alone, faces the final prophecy as Malcolm's camouflaged army - "Birnam Wood" - marches on Dunsinane.
