Timmins, Alice Lee: - Alice Lee Timmins has been engaged in service-oriented careers-In Washington, DC with a women's advocacy non-profit; in Maryland and Colorado as a secondary social studies teacher, and with a Masters Degree in Education and Counseling, she counseled numerous students in various public schools on both sides of the Mississippi River. Her final position was Coordinator of Adult Volunteers at the Denver Art Museum. Now retired to her beloved Maine, Alice writes poetry from a sunny desk at a cottage on the Great Works River in South Berwick. Daily she walks with her partner Margaret and their beloved dog Quincy. She stays extremely active creating textile art pieces, installing art at the Kittery Art Association Gallery, playing pickleball, hiking with artistic and spiritually-minded friends. Alice also spends long afternoons cutting firewood from felled trees on acres of her property's forest floor.
