Lishka

Jaima Lindell

Civil war brews between the two Great Covens. In the North, the wolves grow restless. Rumors drift of a human discovery meant to remain forgotten.

The Seattle Coven has existed for centuries at the edge of the civilized world. Here Lishka finds refuge, hiding behind her role as a city Keeper to avoid the politics that rule her vampiric kind. Then she meets an intriguing human at the supernatural club, Midnight.

Dominick is more than what he seems, and Lishka's curiosity turns to unease when her investigation uncovers a threatening study. Shrouded in conspiracy, the research-and Dominick's affiliation with it-draws more than Lishka's interest. A dangerous faction within the Covens has taken notice.

When an act of desperation catapults Lishka and Dominick into the conflict she had sought to avoid, Lishka is entrusted with a clandestine journey to the untamed northern mountains. Expelled from Seattle to seek support from creatures of the Old World, she does not travel alone. Tasked to teach the man she cursed, Lishka is forced to confront the truth about them both and the secret prophecy that binds them together.

Deep in the wilderness, figures of mist guard a hidden doorway. Shadowed forests are patrolled by another predator, whose allegiance is yet undecided. And beneath the ice, a legendary weapon stirs, readying itself for the hand of the true wielder...

About the Author

Lindell, Jaima: - Jaima Lindell was born in Seattle and raised in Ravensdale, Washington, a small town nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. She attended Western Washington University and earned her BA in English with an emphasis on creative writing. After embarking on an adventure to live in New Zealand, Australia, and Spain, Jaima settled back in her native Pacific Northwest with her husband, Chris, and their ginger cat, Paul. A project manager by day, Jaima spends her personal time reading other authors' delicious words, writing about fantastical worlds, and exploring the many mountains, forests, and lakes of northern Washington. Jaima's excitement for discovering new books-and revisiting previously loved stories-means she can often be found at the local bookstore, no matter where in the world she is. Lishka is Jaima's debut novel.
