Mihlo Hall was born with the odds stacked against her, with an addict for a mother, an absent father, and pregnant by seventeen by a local drug dealer. To deal with her pain, she often acted out at school, defending her name amongst bullies, only to later drop out.

Now, as a young lady, Mihlo's fists are tight and anger impulsive. She's set on becoming a Street Fighter, making a name for herself amongst the town that mocked her and counted her out.

Lucifer Goodwin was left on his grandmother's porch as an infant by his mother, and she never looked back. Bearing the pain of not being wanted by the woman who carried him for nine months, he became everything she feared. He enjoyed breaking bones, shedding blood, and putting his opponents down for good because there are no rules to Street Fighting and he has never been one to follow rules.

The night of his celebratory party, a fight breaks out that quickly turns bloody. Never seeing a woman fight like her, he had to know the vicious, untamed woman who had the nerve to defile his sanctuary with her rage. He quickly learns that scars like hers are only art to those equally broken, and while he was no Picasso, he had a keen eye for art.
