Lyra Falconis, an orphan with heterochromatic eyes (blue/amber) that allow her to see fragments of the future and past, is brought to Luminarcanum. She discovers she is a Visionary, capable of weighing possible tomorrows.

Together with a brilliant Artificer, a Keeper of memory, and a Seer of fate, she uncovers a conspiracy: "The Hourglass," led by her own grandfather, seeks to impose a perfect order by erasing chaos and free will with a power of pure nothingness.

The final battle will be waged at the heart of reality itself. Lyra must confront her terrible heritage and use her gift not to predict the future, but to choose and defend an imperfect, free, and possibility-filled world.
