Max loves to read. She discovers great wisdom from writers like Amy Parker, the Berenstain Bears, Dan Gutman, Laura Ingalls Wilder, James Patterson, and many others.

She learns to love zoos and farms, school and family, sports and adventure, and history and magical places. Because she has always been a reader, she encourages others to read as well-even her reluctant-to-read younger brother.

When her teacher asks her what she wants to be when she grows up, Max knows she wants to be surrounded by stacks and stacks of books.
