Mirco Sambrotta is a newly minted Ph.D. (Magna Cum Laude and international Accreditation) in analytic philosophy at the University of Granada with a deep interest in practical philosophy. The results of his dissertation have been presented in seven different papers, five of them already published in high quality peer-reviewed journals and publishing houses (International Journal of Philosophical Studies, Theoria, Organon F, Studia Semioticzne, Routlege, Metaphysica). Apart from the results of his dissertation, he had the opportunity of taking part in other publishing activities, in particular he edited two special issues: "Substantialism, Factualism, and Structuralism: A Philosophical Dispute" published by International Journal of Philosophical Studies in 2018 (Issue 26:5) and "Naturalism and Metaphysics" published by American Philosophical Quarterly (forthcoming).
He has recently started a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Analytic Philosophy of the Slovak Academyof Science in Bratislava as a member of the research group "VEGA No.2/0117/19: Logic, epistemology and metaphysics of fiction". His academic training and research experience have provided him with a strong interdisciplinary background in different areas, especially metaphysics, philosophy of language and philosophy of science. Furthermore, He has gained important international experience through different visiting positions and several attendances to international conferences and meetings. He got his M.A. in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Milan under the supervision of Professors Paolo Valore and Giuliano Torrengo (with full marks), and his B.A. in Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Florence under the supervision of Professor Marino Rosso (with full marks).
