My Business Is Now North: Of grief and love

Anthony Sobb

A memoir, a love story, a story of loss, grief, and hope.

When Anthony Sobb's wife, Kim, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, they chose not to surrender to the diagnosis but to do everything they could to fight it and to live life to the fullest extent possible.

My Business is Now North tells Anthony's journey through the challenges of a devastating diagnosis, pushing boundaries, and surviving the abyss after losing the love of his life.

Left with three children to nurture and cherish, Anthony's story shows what is possible even in the face of profound adversity and grief.

About the Author

Sobb, Anthony: - Anthony is a dedicated family man and a former pugilist and martial artist. He currently serves as a surf lifesaver and jet ski rescue volunteer and is the CEO of a large RSL club in Sydney. He was encouraged to develop a passion for food, wine, and bringing people together from his school days, which led him to pursue a diverse career in Sydney's food scene before transitioning into the club industry in 2000. Anthony is a keen traveller and enjoys exploring new tastes, flavours, and atmospheres to offer to his customers. In recent years, he has prioritised supporting his three sons and maintaining close ties with his family following the loss of his wife, Kim. After isolating himself from the world for over a decade, Anthony is now ready to share his story.

Praise for this book

"A purpose in life is to love well. Who and what you love is debatable. Anthony Sobb (Ant) loved his wife in a way that has challenged me.

His love was deep, tender, aggressive and purposeful. He wanted her to live well as long as she could.

His book has helped me to love my wife differently. With fewer conditions and more sacrifice.

Men should read this book..."
