About the Author

Prof. Deepankar Choudhury is working as a Professor of Civil Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India. His research focuses on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Computational Geomechanics. He is the fellow of multiple prestigious academies. Prof. Choudhury has made significant contributions in earthquake-resistant geotechnical structures. He has authored over 310 publications, supervised several PhD theses, and has served as an expert for national projects like India's longest sea bridge, etc. He also holds leadership roles in disaster resilience and other important academic committees.

Prof. Damodar Maity is a Professor of Civil Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Fluid-Structure Interaction from the same institution. His expertise spans seismic analysis, fluid-structure interaction, and cost-effective housing solutions. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the George Oomen Memorial Prize, Dr. Maity has led numerous research projects and has been a key contributor to earthquake-resistant design methods. He has also authored books, several Journal Papers in the national and international sphere.

Prof. Sibapriya Mukherjee is currently the Professor of Department of Civil Engineering at Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India. Previously, he served as Dean of Faculty Engineering and Technology, and also as Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur, He has expertise in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Ground Improvement technology. A life fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Geotechnical Society, Dr. Mukherjee has received quite a few prestigious awards for his research and has contributed extensively as a consulting Engineer to various government and private projects. He also has authored several Research articles in Geotechnical as well as multi-disciplinary domain.

Dr. Ujjwal Saha is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur, India with a PhD from IISc Bangalore. His research focuses on the impacts of climate change on hydrological systems, particularly urban flooding. Dr. Saha has contributed to numerous high-impact publications and has made significant contributions towards integrating machine learning with rainfall prediction models. Dr. Saha has also worked on various consultancy projects related to flood management and water resource infrastructure. Dr. Saha is a life member of the Indian Water Resources Society.
