Bear shifter, Kort Behrens, had never had good luck with romance. Given his wealth, most of the women he met were only interested in the money and prestige he could offer. But he wanted more. At this stage in life, he had given up hope of ever meeting that one special woman. Due to some mix up with a couple orders from his company, he was traveling to Gambler's Folly to sort it out, and then take a little R & R.
Elizabeth Murphy had been widowed for four years and hadn't traveled much since her husband died. She wasn't interested in dating yet, and wasn't sure she ever would be. But as a surprise for her birthday, her kids sent her tickets to visit them in Northern California, a far cry from her small Appalachian home. Once there, they had another surprise--a round trip vacation package to Gambler's Folly! What she would do there was anyone's guess, but her daughter insisted she would have a great and relaxing time.
Imagine the surprise they each felt when they met before getting on the shuttle. It had been thirty years since they'd graduated from university together. While they'd been friends, they'd never dated. And from Liz's point of view, their lives were worlds apart.
But Gambler's Folly holds more surprises for them both.
Mellie began writing in high school and has loved it ever since. But she didn't start writing professionally until around 2010.
Born and raised in the Midwest, she went to college in California and married a California boy. They've been together for almost 50 years now, with two children and five grandchildren.
Having lived all over the country, and having traveled to various places around the world gives Mellie a broad palette to draw from for her writing.
As well as writing, Mellie is a musician, martial artist, and Reiki master. She also loves to do oil painting, knitting and crochet.
She has two series under the name Mellie Miller--Gambler's Folly and Esperance--and two books by Sultonna Nadine. She has several books already planned for each.
Happy reading!
