LIKE A TREE CHANGING COLORS, a journey through mental illness is one of death and rebirth. Navigating the seasons of life and illness, those who undergo this journey change forever. Yet they are strong. They are whole.

Here, fourteen people spin stories of these quests towards hope. As members of Queen City Clubhouse, a support community for people living with serious mental illness, they have united with local university students to tell their tales. One by one, they are regrowing their leaves through community, care, and courage. These stories are ones of transformation: a recovery, but not quite how you may know it.
