Freed, Doug: - DOUG FREED is a third-generation Colorado native, a 35-year Colorado newspaperman, a former high school English teacher and an avid hiker. He previously wrote Colorado by the Numbers and was the editor of the Navajo family history Hózhó A Walk in Beauty. He lives in Rico, Colorado.
