Phase Change Materials and Nano-Pcms

Alibakhsh Kasaeian

Phase Change Materials and Nano-PCMs presents nano-PCMs and nano-enhanced PCMs paying particular attention to the applications of these technologies. Broken into ten chapters, this book covers the history of thermal energy storage and PCMs, their chemistry and synthesis, as well as kinetics and crystallization. Later chapters consider properties and applications of PCMs and the use of PCMs in renewable energy. Nanotechnology in phase change materials is explored as are the environmental and economic issues resulting from PCM use. Finally, this book concludes with case studies to further support reader understanding. Written for researchers and students focused on thermal energy storage, Phase Change Materials and Nano-PCMs will be a valuable and timely reference.
