Mellana takes a chance to escape her life on an ex-mining colony turned neon-lit capitalist hellscape. Hunted by crime syndicates, gauded into working for the city's finest and getting all to close to people who want to love her, or kill her - or both.

Acquiring enemies and friends alike, Mellana stumbles through the colony's underworld searching for her place in the world. Preferably one that leaves behind the crime and violence she grew up in.

Quickly she gets involved with powers far beyond her, the triads and even the whole planet.

With nobody but her roommate by her side, she sets out to make a name for herself - or crash and burn in the process.
