Qigong Master Jim Nance: My Life Story Led Me Here

Master Jim Nance

From early years in the Midwest, to the streets of Philadelphia, through strange and magical tales of travels in Africa, this book follows the extraordinary life of Jim Nance, an African American man, on his way to becoming a Qigong Master. Incredible healers, incredulous events, and other-worldly beings underscore an eclectic narrative, keeping readers engaged as Jim moves closer to finding answers to a life-long spiritual pursuit.

Jim Nance found his way was lit by a guiding force, one which knew all that was to be. During a near-fatal car accident, the emergence of a mysterious voice saved his life and led to a quest that would last nearly three decades. After overcoming physical and intellectual challenges in his youth, to becoming a professional basketball player in Turkey, and then a k-12 educator in the U.S.; Jim met a Master from China: Qigong Master Chunyi Lin.

Studying and practicing the ancient healing science of Qigong under the guidance of Master Lin, Jim learned techniques to help his body heal from serious injuries. Gaining knowledge over time and refining his skills, he learned more about the flow of intelligent energy in the body (qi) and how to help others to heal, becoming the first Spring Forest Qigong Master.

After more than 25-years as a Qigong healer and teacher, Master Nance reflects on his extraordinary life and offers his unique perspective on Qigong and healing, illuminating a constant truth: that everyone, given the chance to look upon their own life story, will find that help, guidance, and care have been present all along; often appearing in the most creative and mysterious of ways.

Praise for this book

"I have known Jim for thirty years, and I nominated him as the first Spring Forest Qigong Master. He walked through a tough life but never gave up his dedication to helping others and searching for his higher self---and he found it. I strongly believe his stories will encourage so many people to rise up when difficulty comes and stay with the truth of life, master it, and enjoy it." -Master Chunyi Lin, Founder of Spring Forest Qigong
