The book is a descriptive exposition of red flags that clinicians may encounter in the practice of Office Medicine, where the important paradigm is to suspect situations that could have a bad health outcome and refer to the emergency department for observation, workup and management. Focusing mainly on red flags and leaving diagnostic workup and management out makes the book a quicker and more focused read, more useful for Office Medicine, where advanced labs and imaging are not at hand. I add realism by telling actual stories and adventures encountered in my forty five years on the job as a family physician involved not only in adult medicine, but also in Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine and Dermatology, both in the US and abroad.
