A man must trust his gut to find the truth and look for love despite tragedy when he's accused of a crime of passion that he probably didn't commit.

After he spends eight years in prison, Randy Daggett returns to the scene of the crime on Chamber Island, hoping to figure out what really happened to his girlfriend, Ingrid Karlsen, on the night of her murder. But trying to clear his name is a daunting task, so he turns to Trisha Whitcomb, an island resident and former T.V. reporter, Steve Jenkins, the man who sent him away and still doesn't entirely believe Randy's story.

Together, they sift through the long list of suspects in crime, searching for a breakthrough. But the closer Randy gets to what really happened, the more he uncovers just how many people he can't trust. Now, he must solve an old murder in order to not only close the case but to save another life in jeopardy.

What he finally encounters is death and love in Door County.
