God created man in his image and likeness and gave him a fleshy nature to live on earth, God is spirit and man is a spirit being also, though he lives by the flesh and carries out every activity by the flesh. God fellowshipped with him to bring about the life of the spirit and not the life of the flesh, the devil was very subtle that he has to reveal the dimension of the flesh to Eve who ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden after God gave them an instruction not to eat from it but because she saw it was good and pleasing in her sight she decided to eat it. The life of the spirit enables us to live the life of God, conscious of God's feeling and what he likes, not what man wants or desire because his desire has to align with the spirit of God in man. The man was chased from the Garden of Eden which represented the presence of God and he lived in sin but God was still interested in the man and brought his son to redeem man from sin by giving him salvation so he can be saved from the impending danger that lies ahead. While Jesus was to leave earth after fulfilling his mission on earth, he sent the Holy Spirit to man, our comforter, teacher, and guide who would help us live the life of God because he would remind us of the teachings of God, the life of God. Some have not come to know the Holy Spirit, the life of God, and the spirit of God in a man, they still live by rules, doctrine, culture, and practices by what they have heard, seen, and felt, and they have neglected the sovereign being, God Almighty has the custodian of all truth and the revealer of all truth; they have allowed their belief to limit them from accessing God and able to reach him. Without faith it is impossible to please God, and it is by faith we please God, by what he says and decrees about a thing, we need to believe in his son and the life he has brought, he came to fulfill the law, the practices of old, he came to bring about a life that man has not known, that man has not attained or reached through his death, he has given us all it takes to access God and to bring his presence down. We are carriers of God's presence where he dwells and makes his presence known, we are the custodian of his power, his ability, and his work in us and it is until one submits to God, the life of God, the life of the spirit that he would access God and bring about possibilities that have not been known or seen. The life we live is important as it portrays God and his life but when one refuses to submit to God, there will never be growth in every area of a man's life; that individual will remain stagnant and newborn believers can attain a greater dimension of the life of God and results that has not to be known by man.
