Hali Pluton keeps several businesses, and her family, steady. It can be overwhelming work, so she built her dream home in a quiet spot in the mountains. It's perfect. Perfectly quiet. Perfectly lonely. And the perfect place to daydream about the man she saw skipping stones near a waterfall.
After a science experiment goes explosively wrong, Pierce Drumheller, summer camp owner and aspiring science teacher, decides he needs time away. He books an extended vacation in the Blue Ridge mountains where the waterfalls - and Hali - enchant him.
The connection between them is electric, almost addictive. Hali is determined to hold Pierce close and will do almost anything to keep him from slipping through her fingers. But his summer camp is a surprisingly big obstacle. Can she convince him to choose her before Summer comes around again?
