The Comedian's Guide to Psychedelics: How to Know Nothing and Discover Everything--One Trip at a Time

Brendan Fitzgibbons

A witty, accessible, and helpful companion for anyone on the journey of self-exploration.
Welcome to the psychedelic revolution--where your yoga teacher microdoses, your mom hosts mushroom tea parties, and your barista might just be a part-time shaman.

In The Comedian's Guide to Psychedelics, writer and comic Brendan Fitzgibbons takes readers on a wildly entertaining, refreshingly honest, and surprisingly practical journey through the weird, wonderful, and rapidly growing world of psychedelics. With sharp wit, grounded wisdom, and zero tolerance for eye-roll-worthy woo-woo, Fitzgibbons offers an everyperson's guide to navigating the mind-expanding universe of psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, and ayahuasca. Along the way, he unpacks the science, shares his own laugh-out-loud experiences (like doing too many mushrooms on his 40th birthday and getting ambushed by Stormtroopers), and answers the big question everyone's asking: Can psychedelics really change my life?

Whether you're psychedelic-curious, looking to deepen your self-awareness, or just want to finally understand what the hell your cousin means when he says he's "journeying with intention," this book has your back. The Comedian's Guide to Psychedelics is your hilarious, heartfelt, and genuinely helpful travel companion for the most important trip of all--the one back to yourself. It's part memoir, part manual, all trip.
