George, Maryan: - Living in a picture postcard by an arm of the Sognefjord, Maryan George has her husband, two adult children, and six cats to keep her occupied. When they are elsewhere, she is busy writing, conducting bands and choirs, playing and/or singing in bands, choirs, and groups, or working her daytime job as a teacher of English and music. The inspiration to write comes from the nature around her, her students and family, and the rich reservoir of stories, fairytales, and sagas in her culture.
