The Lockdown Diaries

Col Mp Sen

When the planet earth came under a serious existential threat due to Covid-19, the life came to a grinding halt. Nations after nations came under its unforgiving jaws. We watched helplessly people falling like leaves of a tree within just few days of virus attack. The governments had no option but to apply serious Lockdown to control the spread. People suffered beyond imagination because the humanity had no answer. China, place of origin of the Virus and responsible for global spread. Its strategic silence over two months points towards a bigger conspiracy coupled with alleged complicity of the World Health Organisation, has given enormous pain to the humanity and thus should never go unpunished. The title of the book is the final statement of all those who died gasping for air, a reflection of those unfortunate's cry "I Can't Breathe", also the last cry of George Floyed, under the Knees of a brutal policeman in USA, allegedly for a fake $20 Bill. The book captures enduring emotions, unending sufferings, psychological trauma, collapse of economy and geo-political tensions that engulfed this planet through the pages of a diary, covering the day-to-day happenings across the globe. Aim of this book is to sensitise future generations that we the homosapiens have the solemn responsibility to protect the nature and not plunder it further.
