The Magnification of the Trinity: To Him All Glory

T. Hoogsteen

Since the creation of the Christian Scriptures, contrary interpretations of the Trinity entered into the history of the church, for instance, tritheism, modalism, and Origen's Greek-mythological Jesus-explanation now firmly lodged in the Great Tradition. Athanasius, Augustine, and John Calvin also professed adherence to this Great Tradition. In the late twentieth century, to bring relevance to the basic biblical doctrine, Karl Barth, Karl Rahner, Paul Tillich, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Jurgen Moltmann, and John Zizioulas ""birthed"" trinitarian teachings that saw the light of day and died. The Magnification of the Trinity, beginning in Genesis and continuing through Revelation, presents the basic biblical teaching on which all other doctrines depend. To Him All Glory then simply and profoundly concentrates on the thrust of the Scriptures.

Praise for this book

"Hoogsteen applies his deep knowledge of Scripture and his extensive knowledge of historical theology to remind the faithful to hold fast to the correct understanding of the holy Trinity--while at the same time being alert and opposing all forms of misleading understandings, both those originating from ancient and contemporary corruptions whose influence is still rampant in the life of the church today."
--Yarman Halawa, Pastor
