In the near future, a mysterious dark cloud appears over Peru's Lake Titicaca, attracting the attention of scientists, the military and the whole world. At the heart of this strange mist, a metallic sphere of unknown origin defies the laws of physics, emitting energies that even the most advanced instruments can't penetrate. Isaac Merin, an introspective physicist, is called in to investigate.
