Orshan Kahn, Samantha: - Rabbi Samantha Orshan Kahn (she/her) is an approachable rabbi, mother, and spiritual advisor navigating the complexities of Jewish parenting in today's world. Inspired daily by both her daughters, Rabbi Kahn feels especially connected to this book as the mother of a transgender girl. She encourages open dialogue and is available to all parents and families who may be in need of support or understanding. You can find her serving Congregation B'nai Israel in Boca Raton as their Senior Associate Rabbi. She is passionate about community outreach, interfaith inclusivity, and engaging in Tikkun Olam. As a spirited Zionist, Israel-activism, mental health awareness, and Jewish pride have played a key role in her rabbinate as of late. This is her first children's book.
