It's now 1882, and after a decade of hiding away in an abandoned town, with her Reverend caregiver, barely surviving the harsh Minnesota winters, Ruth is ready to move on and start a new life for herself. Maybe she can even find her sister. But it's an unlikely hope as Ruth isn't sure if she is even still alive, let alone, a human anymore.

The open plains are a dangerous place. Made even more so by the threat of the deadly creatures, roaming the nights, on their murderous rampage.
