The Wonder of Believing

Gregory Scherrer

This is a story written to give parents a tool to help their children realize the true message of Christmas. While the traditions of Christmas can smother the true message of Christ that parents desire to emphasize, this story will guide their children as they realize the truth and follow their hearts as God draws them to Himself. The story takes place as a child named Brayla journey's through the confusion of the mixed message that can come along with the Christmas celebration. The conclusion brings resolution to the heartache that comes as some of these traditions may bring disappointment and mistrust from children for the confusion and mixed message. Many blessings to all who will enjoy this special book!

About the Author

Scherrer, Gregory: - Greg Scherrer is the Pastor of Hi-Plains Baptist Church of Limon Colorado and has a background in music education. He and his wife DeAnn came to know Christ as Savior in January of 1991 and know that it is by God's grace that this salvation was granted. This book is written in the hope that Christian families can use some of the secular traditions of Christmas as steppingstones for sharing the truth of the gospel with their kids. Some parent's struggle with what to do with Santa Claus; many go along with the Santa Claus story while others just put those traditions on the shelf of worldly evils as their children wonder what they stand for. The "Wonder of Believing" will give parents a tool to begin using early in their children's lives to share the gospel and to speak honestly about various Christmas traditions. It is suggested that this book's message be used to step squarely into the truth of our sin and God's provision for that sin, the Lord Jesus Christ!
