The book is written in a unique style by lots of facts, anecdotes observations and humour by the author, First published in 1999 this second edition which has been amended, enlarged, and retitled before being first published in 2016 and now re-published in 2025.

The author, Mr A. McMahon will be known to many former pupils as he not only taught Classics but was also involved in many of the sports teams at Wishaw High School
