Go to work. Get some guy off (usually). Rinse. Repeat. Nowhere on that list did I have "nearly get whacked by one of my father's enemies."

And yet, here we are.

When I fought to work at the Scarlett Oleander, it was because I wanted to stick it to my dad. But it has turned into so much more than that. And that was before I ran screaming to my boss's office.

And just what did I find him doing? Oh, you know, receiving the blunt end of my godfather's pogo stick.

With little help from my dad, Don Emilio Carpinelli, I have to rely on Reagan-my godfather and the consigliere-and my boss, one Edward Scarlett, to figure out what's going on.

But I'm not done disappointing my father. Oh no. If he's going to make like this is my fault, then he's going to find out just how many rules of his I can break.
