When Dare's band, Heart Killer, is asked to be the opening act for the epic Pillars of Rock tour, he can't say no. Playing alongside fan favorites like Mateo Starr of Mage Of Mercy should be the best thing ever for Dare... except the brooding singer seems to have it out for him in more ways than one.

With his fortieth birthday on the horizon and a broken heart, Mateo Starr isn't sure he's ready to return the bright lights of the stage. But Mateo isn't about to let a hyperactive emo kid get in the way of his comeback. However, Mateo soon discovers his arch nemesis, Dare Wylde, may not be the only one begging for mercy.
