Co-ownership

The Tertulia Co-op is owned by its members. In addition to free shipping and 10% off all books, members also have a stake in Tertulia’s future success.

• Tertulia, Inc. has allocated 10% off its equity for the Tertulia Co-op, to benefit the Co-op members who collectively purchase the first $100M of books from Tertulia. The co-op will distribute to its members any future financial benefits from its equity stake in Tertulia, Inc.

• Each member’s co-ownership units are proportional to their book purchases. Any future financial benefits distributed by the Co-op to its members will be proportional to their co-ownership units. This means that for every dollar spent on Tertulia, Co-op members gain a greater stake in Tertulia’s success.

• Members have a voice in Tertulia. Co-op members are encouraged to participate in occasional votes that help direct future business and community decisions.

• Co-op member dues are $25/year. This entitles members to free shipping, a 10% discount on all book purchases, and the ability to earn co-ownership units on all their purchases. Should a member choose not to renew their membership, the Tertulia Co-op honors their previously accrued co-ownership units.
