He has published monographs, translations, and many articles on European socialism, including of Rudolf Hilferding: The Tragedy of a German Social Democrat (Northern Illinois University Press,1998) and, with Mark E. Blum, Austro-Marxism: The Ideology of Unity, 2 vols. (Brill, 2016/17).
