PEN Voices celebrates the work done at PEN American Center in the past year, promoting literature and defending freedom of expression nationally and internationally. PEN American Center is one of 141 centers of International PEN, the world's oldest human rights organization and the oldest international literary organization. International PEN was founded in 1921. PEN American Center, founded a year later, works to advance literature, to defend free expression, and to foster international literary fellowship.

The latest Update from PEN America, on the Utah school book ban. Utah retreated on their list of 52 bans. Now it's 22, and 17 more, including MY FRIEND DAHMER, require "permission slips" for students to read. Which is the same as a ban. Just 10 books returned to the shelves. https://t.co/I8nspaZtjR
