Columnist and essayist Tom Masters has worked in many fields including journalism and television production. Along the way, he once owned a video store and has served as an elected school trustee. He lives with his wife and a cat and divides his time between his home on Vancouver Island and a cottage in the Gulf Islands off Canada's west coast.
