A Jesus-Shaped Life: Discipleship and Mission for Everyday People

Bob Rognlien

There are so many forces at work in the world today that pressure us to conform to their vision of how life should be. But there is one person in history who has lived a life unlike any other; a life of transcendent grace and truth, love and power, sacrifice and victory. In the life of Jesus we see the life we are meant to live. He promised this more abundant and fruitful life to all who would follow him. A Jesus-Shaped Life offers simple and practical tools to help you learn this way of life by drawing nearer to Jesus and his extended family on mission.

Twelve short chapters introduce readers to the core principles of biblical empowerment, discipleship, and mission:

  • Introduction: The three-dimensional shape of Jesus' life
  • Part One: The journey from identity into Jesus' authority and power
  • Part Two: Learning to do what Jesus did
  • Part Three: Living as part of an extended family on mission

The book is written in accessible language that speaks to people of all backgrounds who want to live a more fruitful life. Filled with clear biblical teaching, illustrated by compelling stories, and enhanced with the core language and tools of 3DMovements, each chapter concludes with four engaging reflection questions to help readers respond to what God is saying to them. If you are interested in Jesus and how to live a life that looks more like his, this book is written for you!

"This is a great book to pattern your church's discipleship model on. It provides great illustrations on how your church should be set up to meet the great commission of winning the lost and making disciples.
