A Life Well Lived
Mrs Della Brookshaw wrote this autobiography, illustrated with around 200 photographs, mainly for family and friends but her story is one to inspire us all. Della grew up on a small farm in north Staffordshire during the war when land was still cultivated by horse-drawn plough. She went on to marry a farmer and become an excellent cook, wife and mother.
But Della Brookshaw was also the driving force behind a remarkable success story: the transformation of The Plassey from a run-down dairy farm in North Wales into a nationally-acclaimed holiday park, retail village and golf course. Della continues to live at The Plassey - her home for over 60 years - and can often be found out and about, chatting to visitors and guests, and continuing to enjoy A Life Well Lived.
