@Dewiwrites Also, one need only look at Jonathan Swift's deliberately ghastly satire, "A Modest Proposal", for a fairly good idea of how subhuman the Irish were considered to be by the British elites in the 18th century, too. Some aspects of the text are exaggerated, ofc, but only to a point
