A Moment in Time

C. Crow

A moment in time consists of a series of ten short stories set in different time periods, which range from the 5th century to the present day, but without having any connection to each other. Some of them are fantasy; some are based in the reality of life. They are filled with supernatural, romance, drama, emotion, humor, children's stubbornness and curiosity, bully teenagers, clowns living a circus life, Native American tales, and presenting the story of a girl from Rio de Janeiro's slum. One of the stories is "The gym class"; a sarcastic story of bully teenagers; "Magic" tells the story of a wizard and his apprentice walking through the forest during the 5th century Britain; "The ghost road" is about a Native American man that goes through a supernatural experience with his ancestors. "The girl from Rio" is a romance set in one of Rio's slum, the Vidigal hill, with drama, romance and a little bit of the "carioca's" (people from Rio de Janeiro) culture. In summary, these short stories are about simple moments of happiness, romance, learning experiences or challenges that people go through at any particular time of their lives, which will become reminiscing memories for many years to come.
