Jim Kay is the illustrator of
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, for which he won the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal;
Bugs by George McGavin; and
The Great War. He studied illustration and worked in the archives of the Tate gallery and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, two experiences that heavily influence his work. He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
